Cordage Maker Micro Tool : A keychain Size Rope Maker
Turn discarded plastic bottles into strong, usable rope anywhere.
The Cordage Maker Micro Tool is a compact stainless steel rope making tool designed to cut the bottoms of plastic bottles into long uniform strips that can be used as is or twisted into stronger cordage or rope. It is useful for everyday carry, camping, and emergency survival situations where cordage is limited or unavailable, or when you want to save your more precious cordage materials.
A single two liter plastic bottle can produce over 75 feet of usable plastic bottle cordage, giving you a surprising amount of rope from something most people would normally throw away. This rope making tool helps turn common waste into a practical resource for repairs, shelter building, gear lashings, and improvised solutions in the field.

Why a Rope Making Tool Matters in Survival and Fieldcraft
Rope is one of the most useful resources in survival, repair, and fieldcraft situations, yet it is often the first thing to run out.
Plastic bottles are widely available, can be found in just about any location (even remote wilderness) and can be turned into strong rope when cut into continuous, even strips with our specialized tool. A dedicated rope making tool ensures those strips are consistent, which directly affects the strength and reliability of the finished rope.
This micro tool exists to make rope creation simple, repeatable, and practical using materials that are often overlooked.

VerifiedSo cool! I had a very large version of a plastic bottle cordage maker. Worked great I can’t wait to use this one. I can’t put it together! The screws are so fine I can’t even use my glasses-screwdriver. Include a cheap throwaway screwdriver, and this will be perfect. I’ve had to order a microfine screwdriver. Can’t wait to try this out.

VerifiedI did not like that upon receiving i found out that the unit came unassembled and was all very tiny pieces that you need a glasses screwdriver set to put together After the unit was assembled it was very hard to use because of its size

VerifiedWell !!! Nice piece of kit, slightly hesitant, I put it together remembering to put the blade upside down and guess what, it worked and it worked well.

VerifiedMuch smaller than imagined, but a very nifty tool! Simplicity, it deserves a great mention!

VerifiedWas very excited for this little gadget. It arrived, completely disassembled, with a tiny slip of paper for assembly instructions. Normally, I think that would be enough, but the orientation of the blade is extremely unclear. Ended up having to take it back apart three times and retry before I figured out the orientation the blade seems to work best in. That would be a little annoying on its own, but compound that with how tiny the nuts are that hold it all together, and it changes a small annoyance into a major PITA. Once assembled in the optimal fashion, the device does work, but it's tricky. There is certainly a knack to using it, and given it's extremely small size it is incredibly difficult to hang onto while using. So, 3 stars. Not something I would recommend, but wouldn't dissuade a buddy either. If the instructions were updated to make the blade orientation clearer (or if it was sent assembled), I would give it a fourth star. Make it more user friendly in the hand (maybe even just a band of rubber around the base plate), and it would have a fifth star. So not bad, but certainly has room for improvement.

VerifiedWorks really well. Takes a bit to get the hang of but when you do there’s nothing to it. Definitely a handy little piece of kit to have.

VerifiedI found the building of it to be annoying and it didn't perform well.

VerifiedI really enjoy these. I believe that I own at least 4 of the micro and 1 or 2 of the dog tag size. I am not really sure as I put them in all my kits my kits, and in my car, in my pockets etc. I have noticed that some of the videos on you tube seem to think that there is a tehnique to using them but I have never really had a problem. If you assemble them per the instructions. I actually prefer the micros but also find that is I am cutting multiple bottles it an be hard on my hands unless I wear gloves. The last two micro I purchased I assembled both and cut about 25 feet of cordage with each one to make sure that it was assembled correcly and worked before putting them away.

VerifiedEvery thing about the Cordage Maker Micro Tool is sensational. It's minute size affords it to be able to be with you at all times, it's green for the environment (recycles plastic bottles) and provides the means for essential & emergency cordage all in this minute package. The clever cutting design reminds me of the manual pencil sharpener we had for school - a tried proven reliable design. I have tried it on 4 different plastic bottles and have been unable to get more than a several inches of cordage. I have re-watched the assembly and demonstration videos ensuring I have assembled it correctly and that the micro tool is at 90 degrees to the bottle to ensure optimum cutting. I have also tried to get it to cut (shread) a bit of paper and thin cardboard unsuccessfully. I can only come to the conclusion I may have received a "bad blade"(dull). It's such a shame because it's such a brilliantly designed tool that takes up no space and can be with you at all times.

VerifiedThe micro cordage tool comes as a kit to assemble. The instructions are good, easy to follow. Not only is it fun to use, but having something like this in a terrible situation could actually help save your life. It's extremely light, well worth the price, and very easy to use. It'd be great if you have kids and you want to teach them about recycling, or if you're seeking alternative uses for old bottles you have lying around. A small 350ml bottle will give you more than 15 feet of usable plastic cord!

VerifiedFantastic product. I plan on buying one for each of my family members. This cordage maker is an absolute must for any bug out bag or kit. Weather you're a hunter, camper, survivalist, or a novice. Get this tool it's too handy to bitch about a lil investment in the short term. In fact buy one of everything in this store , it's a one stop EDC shop.

VerifiedThe blade is incredibly dull. Absolutely flimsy. I had hoped for something a bit more sturdy. You get what you pay for.
