1. Grab your door opener card or a gift card sized item (don't use your credit cards as they can break or get damaged) you can also use another stiff plastic like a cut strip from a 2-liter bottle.
2. You can't bypass a deadbolt this way this works with slanted latch locks (pictured below)
3. You need the slant facing you for a gift card, if the slant is facing away the hooked portion of the bypass card is designed to open this way.
4. The door can't have excessive plates, or moulding as this might block the crack of the door and stop the card from gaining access.
5. At an angle, slide the edge of your card between the door and the plate
6. Bend your card towards the door knob and push towards the latch
7. wiggle the card as you slide it between the latch and door, disabling the latch and allowing the door to open.
