High Carbon Steel Strength Built for Real Fire Starting
The Hot Shot PAK Tool is cut from blued 1095 high carbon spring steel. This steel is trusted for knives and heavy duty outdoor tools for a reason. It takes a sharp edge, handles pressure, and throws sparks easily when striking a ferro rod.
The blued finish adds some protection against moisture and gives it a clean, low glare look, but like all carbon steel it benefits from a light coat of oil now and then. With basic care, it will last a lifetime of fires.
The removable ferro rod nests securely in the tool so you do not lose it, yet pops out quickly when you need a handful of sparks.
