When space matters, carry the Axe Card blade flat with the handle off. When a project calls for more leverage, fit the handle to the blade and check the connection before using it.

D2 Tool Steel, Handle Choices, and Care
The Axe Card uses D2 tool steel for its cutting blade. Choose a handle finish that suits your kit, from colored Mycarta to Olive Wood or Rose Wood.
The blade and removable handle are designed to work together as a reusable cutting tool. Wipe the steel clean and dry after use, check the edge, and keep it covered when packed away.

And then the kicker after sending me the wrong case the one sent button broke off. less than a month I have been to busy to return.Im emailing about that now. BUMMER

VerifiedIt is a pretty awesome little tool. Only thing I do not like is that the sheath does not have a way to secure the knife in it beyond pushing the knife into it. Which for a horizontal (scout) carry is a little iffy for my personal taste.

VerifiedI was pretty hyped about getting this axe card. Was a bit disappointed when I saw there were barrel type pins running through the handle area. Makes sense for the screws to hold the handles on, but I didn't want that. Fear not, I used a 3mm 1/4" hex bit and a soft hammer to knock them out. I absolutely love it. I have the ADZE card too. Thank-you Grim Workshop =)

VerifiedCame to me dull as a rock with no heat treat so the steel was mush and when i did manage to get it sharp it would take nearly nothing to dull bright side the sheathe is useful
