Tangled fishing line has a way of turning a quick fix into a whole afternoon. The Grim Workshop Metal Spool Card gives your own fishing line, sewing thread, wire, tape, and cordage a place to wrap and stay organized in a credit card sized kit.
It also carries removable fishing hooks, lure shapes, L7 spring snare triggers, sewing needles, and buttons. So you have more than a place to wind line. You have small parts that can help with fishing, gear repair, and trap making where permitted.
Start with the flat stainless steel tool card and reusable retention system. Bring the line, wire, thread, or other supplies you want to store. Those loose materials are sold separately, so you can build a kit for your own needs.
Use it with Grim's spool tools, fishing gear, sewing and repair tools, or trapping kits. It can also become part of an Altoids tin kit with room for your own supplies.

Fishing line at the bottom of a pack can turn into a knot before you even reach the water. The Spool Card gives you a flat place to wind suitable lengths of line, thin wire, thread, or cordage so the material stays together and is easier to reach.

Small Tools for Fishing, Sewing, and Field Work
The spool does the organizing. The removable pieces help you use what you brought. On this card, the protected tool guide covers six types of tools and components.

Remove the tool for the job, use it carefully, then clean and dry it. Grim's reusable Tool Retention System holds the removable metal pieces when they are returned to the card.
Spool Card Size, Materials, and Included Parts
The Metal Spool Card uses Grim Workshop's compact credit card sized format. Its tool body is stainless steel about 0.030 inches (1 mm) thick and is made in the USA.
The product packout includes the metal Spool Card body, reusable Tool Retention System component, information card, and protective sleeve. The removable hooks, lures, needles, buttons, and snare trigger pieces are part of the metal card layout.
Fishing line, wire, tape, thread, paracord, bait, and other loose supplies are not listed as included materials. Add those to match the kit you want to build. The unloaded card can fit suitable wallet slots or compact tins; wrapped materials can add bulk.

Real Gear Repairs Start with the Small Stuff
A loose button, torn pocket, or damaged fishing line can stop a trip faster than you expect. Keeping the small pieces together makes it easier to handle the job while you are out.
Carry your own thread with the sewing needles and buttons. Add line for the fishing hooks and lures. Keep the snare triggers with the suitable wire or cord needed for legal, responsible trapping. You do not need a big box to keep those small parts organized.
