Ultralight Camping Stove

When it comes to an Ultralight Camping Stove, I don't know of anything that is more compact or nearly as lightweight than our Micro Wood Stove.
  • As with most of our tools, this ultralight camping stove fits inside of a wallet or a standard Altoids Tin.
  • It gives you the proper amount space between your heat source and your container for boiling or cooking purposes.
  • It can be used with open flame fires or alcohol/gas burners.
  • And it is reusable with the adhesive backing card.

How To Use It...

The process couldn't be easier for using the Micro Wood Stove Survival Card.

  1. Simply remove the metal stove pieces from the adhesive card backing.
  2. Assemble the 5 metal bars into the stove shape that you see in the first photo.
  3. Build a small fire underneath the stove (or use another heat source).
  4. Put your cup or pot on top of the stove and wait for it to heat up.

This stove is so quick & easy to put together. Everything is notched perfectly, so there is no guess-work involved on your end when assembling it.

As for building a fire underneath your wood stove, here are some tips...

  • Pick the flattest and driest ground to build your fire on top of...
You will thank yourself later, as your stove/container will be more stable and your fire will burn a lot more efficiently.
  • Keep your sticks small...
    - Go for nothing larger than thumb-size sticks for this type of fire, as you're just heating up water and food.
    - A larger quantity of smaller sticks will also let off a lot more heat in this scenario as well.
  • You can feed this stove from all 4 sides...
So, if you feel like a certain area needs a bit more fuel at any point, slide some sticks into that area. Easy peasy.

This Ultralight Camping Stove is the ideal way to get your container up out of the flames or coals. Which will allow for more oxygen to flow through your fire lay and around your container. Your container will also be at the perfect height above the heat source, which will make cooking and boiling water more efficient.

Besides using an open fire, these stove cards also work fantastic with a penny stove (also known as a "hobo stove"). My buddy Jamie Boggs has done a video about this, which I'll link below. If you have never made a penny stove, I highly recommend watching this video, picking one of these stove cards up, and put this new skill to use. This is a highly worthwhile skill to master...And it's a ton of fun!
